Get Started with 3D Virtual Reality Glasses or VR Glasses on your IPhone

So you heard the hype and want to try out the 3D Virtual Reality Glasses or VR Glasses on your IPhone.

Well your probably asking yourself these 3 questions,  how much will these glasses cost? what's the cost of the apps and finally how the hell do I get it all working?

To get started your need a phone most smartphones that are not to old should work. You will however need to get the right VR goggles to fit the phone you have.  So the next step would be to buy some VR googles that work with the phone you have.  The good news is there is a big selection stemming from $8 - $3000 and up.

I have an iPhone 5s and the top of the line in VR is the Oculus Rift, however it's not made for the IPhone 5s so that won't work for me but it may for you if your have the iPhone 6. I also wanted to start small the Oculus Rift costs about $1599.00 which has great optics but if your just starting out you can try the glasses below they are only $99, and if you want to go even smaller you can purchase cardboard ones for as low as 8 bucks. I like this one which is right in the middle for 29.95 the reason is I find the cardboard ones are rough around your nose and your have to assemble them this one is already set up and ready to go.

The Next step would be to download some free VR applications from the app store - Here are are a few that are free however that can always change so if it has a price it isn't free anymore. See below for a few to get you started.

After you download you will need to pair your googles with the App - there is usually instructions to pair it with a smart barcode on the actual google (it's those share shaped bar codes). Once that is done open the app and put your Iphone into the google. There is usually a button or something that you van push down to select. Once your in the app staying on a particular icon selects it and tilting the the glasses on its side also controls it.
So basically you can spend 8-10 bucks to get started and if you become completely addicted as you can watch 3D movies on it from youtube etc. you can go for the more expensive ones. I would start off with the 29.95 just to try it out and if you decide to get the more expensive one your can give this one as gift!
